M. Nora Klaver
M. Nora Klaver
Talented coach, insightful author and charming radio host.
“When a person does what they’re born to do, it comes through loud and clear. No doubt: Nora was born to share her knowledge, to guide others into learning how to take a holistic approach to life. Her life passion is to help others find within themselves what they need to do.” Walt, Director, Financial Services
Nora began her career developing training at a now-defunct Big Six consulting firm. Her experiences there allowed her to travel the world and to see first hand the differences in world culture, something she can’t ever get enough of.
Breaking out in 1993, Nora opened her own consulting practice. Success followed with clients such as Ameritech, Nortel, and Eli Lilly. By 1995, Nora had discovered the power of coaching. She reorganized her company and began to coach full-time. Her first engagement was to coach 25 professionals (21 of whom wanted to quit the company after having lived through a number of lay-offs. Ultimately, one left.)
During 14 years of executive coaching, Nora has served clients such as Leo Burnett, CME Group, Allstate Financial, Allstate Protection Services, American Movie Classics and Hitachi Consulting. Having earned the trust of the highest leaders in each client organization, Nora generally freaks them out by incorporating the whole body and emotions in her sessions. Nonetheless, her approach of combining body, mind and emotion works and is one secret to her client’s continued success.
In 2007, Nora’s book was published by Berrett-Koehler Publishers, Inc. Mayday! Asking for Help in Times of Need explains why we don’t ask, why we should and how to do it with self-respect, clarity and effectiveness. (Needless to say, asking for help was/is an occasional issue for Nora.) Mayday! has been featured in the New York Times, Good Housekeeping, the LA Times, the Kansas City Star, the Indianapolis Star and many other publications. She’s been featured on Fox News-NY, and ABC-Chicago.
A little known fact is that Nora majored in radio and television in college. Over the last year, she has re-entered the realm of mass communications, hosting her first internet radio show. She is currently working on her second, Brainstorms with M. Nora Klaver which will be featured on webnetradio.net beginning in December 2009.
